This page sets out the limits of the information on setupcompany.eu. Please read it alongside our Terms of Service, which it forms part of.
1. An independent website
setupcompany.eu is an independent, privately run website. It is not an official website of the European Union, the European Commission or any other EU institution or body, and it is not operated, endorsed or funded by them, or by the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria or any Bulgarian public authority.
The ".eu" in our name is simply our internet domain, and the blue-and-yellow colours are a design choice. Neither indicates any official status. For official information, use the EU's own website, europa.eu, and the Bulgarian Registry Agency, registryagency.bg.
2. General information, not advice
Everything on this site — service descriptions, comparisons, case studies, and the "why Bulgaria" content — is general information about setting up and running a company in Bulgaria. It is not legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice, and reading it does not create an advisory or client relationship between you and us. Specific advice for your situation is only given once you've engaged us under a signed agreement, where our advisers can account for your actual facts.
3. Figures and comparisons
Costs, tax rates, timelines and comparative figures on this site (for example, corporate tax rates in other EU countries, typical salary or rent levels, or the number of companies we've registered) are given as of the date the relevant page was last updated and are illustrative unless a page states otherwise. Tax law, tariff schedules and government fees change, sometimes with little notice — always confirm the current figure with us or with the relevant authority before relying on it for a decision.
4. No guarantee of outcome
We do our part of every engagement carefully, but several outcomes described on this site depend on decisions made by third parties, not by us:
- Bank account approval is decided by the bank, based on its own know-your-customer and compliance policies.
- Visa, permit and residence approvals are decided by the relevant Bulgarian or EU authority.
- Registration timelines assume documents are provided complete and on time; delays on your side extend them.
We'll tell you plainly if we think a particular outcome is unlikely, but we cannot guarantee decisions that aren't ours to make.
5. Case studies and testimonials
Case studies and example scenarios on this site are illustrative composites unless explicitly marked as a real, named client story with that client's permission. Where a page marks a case study "illustrative," treat the specifics (numbers, timeline, savings) as representative of a typical case, not as data from one real engagement.
6. Third-party links
Where we link to external resources — government registries, EU information portals, news coverage — we do so for convenience and don't control or vouch for their content. Check the source directly for anything you intend to rely on.
7. No liability for reliance on general content
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions made based solely on the general information on this site, as opposed to advice given under a signed engagement. This doesn't affect any liability that can't be excluded by law, or liability arising from a signed service agreement, which is governed by that agreement's own terms.
8. Changes
Rules affecting company formation, tax, banking and immigration in Bulgaria and the EU change periodically. We update this site when we're aware of a material change, but we can't guarantee every page reflects the very latest position at every moment. If a decision hinges on current accuracy, ask us to confirm it directly.
